It is not as disproportionate, but men do get much more screen time than women.
Just look at the Best Director nominees and winners. Because that’s what gender neutral awards will look like. There will be years when only men will be nominated, but a non-male will win once or twice a decade so people can point at that and say “see? There is no sexism in Hollywood!”
“Wouldn’t you like to be the proud owner of Amadeus on a glorious VHS cassette?”
I loved Carvel when I was little. There was a store near where I grew up and my parents would take us. But it’s been 45 or 50 years
The Gizmodo article also fucked this up. I know the original is older than the authors here, but it still seems like they should have seen it if they are going to write articles about it.
The Chicago accents in the trailer are soooo bad. I laugh every time I hear them. It’s makes “The Superfans” look toned down.
“He didn’t say it.”
She's lucky he didn't grab her by the pussy.
I agree, but it seems that the public likes people who sound like everyone else.
One problem this show has always had is that the Supes are massively overpowered, have minimal if any weaknesses, and are allowed to get away with anything. Every time they show restraint of any kind, I just wonder why they would bother? They don’t need to hide who they are. If Neuman wants to stage a one woman coup…
There must be un ungodly amount of pressure to be in any kind of relationship with Taylor Swift. I sort of feel sorry for her because it must be hard to find people who can tolerate that, even just as a casual friend. You can see why she might have cooked up a romance with an NFL star. Who else could handle that?
Narrative don't need no "facts."
What? She’s alive, healthy, and working at 73.
That “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” themed party was a Bat Mitzvah. So full of 13 year old kids.
Lightyear is a perfectly good SF movie with a nice message about helping other members of your team to do well. It just didn’t need to have a Toy Story tie in.
“Elemental" was pretty good too and came out just last year.
I don’t know why the AV Club refuses to tell us where we are able to see things. Is this streaming? Being released in theaters? Widely, or just in a few cities? Shouldn’t that be part of a review? Especially for a small indie pic that isn’t going to be on 6,000 screens?
If they were really serious, they would have gotten somebody better than Roland Emmerich.
Goofy Olivia Colman is the best Olivia Colman.
