He is as much a Disney creation as Luke Skywalker or Thor.

The board can waive that on a case by case basis and since this company only exists as an agent of MAGA, they will. So not only will he get to sell his shares to pay off his legal debts, he will get to do it before the stock is worth less than Enron and the people who help him do it will get screwed. It might be the mo

The only one I have come across is that my wife replies to everything I send her whether she needs to or not, usually with an emoji, and it comes across as “Loved ‘I’ll be home in 5 minutes’” instead of a heart. Not really a big deal.

So we are left with AV Club, Gizmodo, and The Takeout as real sites. All of which are a shadow of their former selves.

And I seem to have completely forgotten about Children in my initial comment.

The first two were successful enough that Messiah will get made. Whether it gets made well or by Villeneuve is another question and one that Legendary and Warner Bros are probably less interested in, which is a big part of the problem.

Many non-iPhone users… experience social stigma, exclusion, and blame

The food in those pictures looks like it came out of an underfunded grade school cafeteria.  The lettuce is nearly white, the tomatoes are pale orange, and the bread looks stale. Yuck.

that’s great news for people over 65

At least 133,000 cases of mushroom poisoning were reported from 1999 to 2016. 704 of those cases resulted in major harm, while 52 resulted in death.

Yeah, all that. But at least the original purpose meant well. If you have an idea (a durable good, new software, a better mousetrap, whatever) and want to bring it into the world you don’t really have a lot of choices. A bank probably won’t loan you enough money to get off the ground unless you put up everything you

I hear those things are awfully loud.

Always relevant:

SPAC’s were useful for small companies that wanted to go public to raise capital rather than trying to get loans from banks that didn’t care what happened to little companies or selling out to VC and losing control of their company. You either left a zero off or that plus sign is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

This was absolutely my first thought.  With all his campaign money being siphoned off to pay his legal bills (and still not coming close to covering them), Donny needs as many revenue streams as possible and others are going to try to jump on that bandwagon.

Of course, but this article was written from the perspective of what has happened so far, not what is likely to happen in the future.  I fully expect him to become more accepting and understanding of Japanese ways, but as of now he is still acting pretty ignorant and arrogant.

Definitely. I think the difference is that the Japanese seem much more aware that he is trying to use them than he is of being used by them. Both of them see the relationship as transactional, but the Japanese seem to have a more realistic view of what is going on. It may just be that they have all the advantages -

I pretty much agree except that he isn’t really endearing or lovable. He’s just a bigoted European full of unearned arrogance assuming that these people are savages because they aren’t white, English speaking, protestants. He considers the Portuguese to be only a small step above them.  Yes, he knows a few things they
