So I feel kind of like ridiculous saying no when it hasn’t been asked

In general, it’s just 3:1. One tbsp fresh = 1 tsp dried. That can get modified by how fine the dried product is - just like with salt, finer grinds pack better so ground rosemary will be more potent than whole. But for most savory recipes, precision isn’t all that important. Taste as you go and adjust.

I tried it once with stale, dry, home made biscuits and it didn’t work very well. The texture of the bread cubes was not good. Maybe it would work better with store bought ones, but I have stuck to yeast breads ever since.

We ate out once when it was just the two of us and it was a nice change..

I have seen it, but I have no need to try it. The marketing tells me it is not being made for me.

Not all Islay single malts are Laphroig.* Lagavulin, Ardberg, and Caol Ila are less smoky, although still usually a bit much for my tastes. Bowmore and Kilchoman tend to be much more mildly peated and very good. Bunnahabhain comes with or without peat (or moine, as they call it) and the peated ones are mostly mild and

“This thing I have never been asked to do and would never be asked to do? I would never do it."

I enjoyed it tremendously. I recognized it as a riff on “When We Were Kings" pretty much from the title and it delivered.
