That’s not how that works. Increasing texture size increases file size, but increasing output resolution doesn’t change the size of the game at all. I would expect only incremental texture updates (if any), and mostly a bump in total resolution or framerate.
Seems like a good idea to push for sony to promote their own line of TVs, and gives an edge microsoft and nintendo don’t want to follow yet.
Considering how small the market for 4K TV’s is right now I got to wonder if this is also to help jump start the 4K market. Sony likely wants to sell 4K TV’s as well but the derth of good 4k content is likely holding it back. At least they wont segment the market just look how well that worked for the N3DS...
