I dunno, to me it sounded like he was saying they were still investigating it, trying to track down where it came from, so couldn't give any answer yet.

@FlameCell: "About 2,200 samples of lunar rocks, core samples, pebbles, sand and dust — weighing about 840 pounds — were brought to Earth by NASA's Apollo lunar landing missions from 1969 to 1972. A recent count showed 10 states and more than 90 countries could not account for their shares of the gray rocks."

@yankeesrule: I saw him after I said that, but I had to look at the source picture - for some reason Gizmodo's got a very small picture there that doesn't scale bigger or anything. Ever since Gawker revamped the site, it just doesn't work very well at all.

@wheelspin: Sounds like you need to do more research. Recent studies say that humans are hard-wired to believe in theological beings. It's part of our instinct. Thus it wasn't any "human invention to keep the population under control", I don't even know where you get that.

I don't get what this article is about at all. I see a picture with 7 different people in it, one giving a thumbs up. What's so special about it?

@Alex Devlin: They'll figure it out when they realize that one of the pictures is before the sphere was built (that picture has no spehere on it, the other two do and show where it should be in relation to the earth).

@Joachim: Not really, Vudu has some pretty awesome quality streaming, VERY close to actual Blu-Ray, without going peer to peer. Even their 3D movies stream at a high quality, although they require minimum 9mbps bandwidth throughout the entire show.

@bigcamcrsx: Same way the Pakistani government never thought anything suspicious about some rich antisocials living in a fortified compound surrounded by a 10 foot high wall topped with barbed wire.

@ThistleDog: Some people want to use their Kindle for reference books with color pictures and charts in them. The Kindle as it currently is just sucks for certain types of books.

And the low bidder probably charged ten times what the work was worth. The government doesn't really negotiate, they tend to just go with the lowest bidder.

@badasscat: Technically even more of your tax dollars are going to science than before. Even though the moon trip was canceled, NASA's budget *increased*. They are now able to concentrate more on the science and less on the practicalities of manned space flight.

@rustyaries: You have it completely backwards, the reason Geohot even tried to find the back door was because Sony removed OtherOS.

@Comatose Turtle: You're mistaken. The sole reason the PS3 was originally hacked was to allow OtherOS to be reinstalled. The only reason GeoHOT went to the effort to crack Sony's encryption (and then spread how it was done) was because of the community using it (many members of which bought the PS3 SOLELY for

@YellowRex: Many grocery stores are closed on Thanksgiving in the US, even more are closed on Christmas. Other countries make more of a deal about Easter - Canada has a 4 day weekend for Easter.

Heh - everyone who can get into E3. Don't forget it isn't open to the public! You gotta work in the gaming industry (and not at a retail store) or be a member of the press (with at least a year's worth of articles if you're a blog).

@TheHawkMirage: Nintendo didn't allow taking videos of 3DS gameplay at E3 last year.

@billiysastard: Nintendo learned last year how to run a line. After the crazy first day, Nintendo had it down pat where people generally didn't need to wait more than an hour to try out a 3DS.
