A woman at our church is permanently brain-injured after being hit with a computer by her special needs student. Some people on the autism spectrum can be very violent. When I worked with special needs adult we had two that were pretty safe, except for biting.

When this happened, it broke my heart and made me so angry! To this day I end up in tears reading about it or discussing it. I am a momma with my own boys (his and hers make six). There was nothing but vile hate in what happened there. It was an abomination.
