I’m pretty sure there are no living members of the generation that lost the war of 1812. Go hosers!
Just because you’re LGBTQ doesn’t mean you can’t be racist. Not that I care for all rap music, but the “added security” line also raised a flag. You know, because ALL Black folks are always angry and no fun for no reason. Meanwhile they’ll be playing “FUN” renditions of September.
Made up words? Dude, all words are made up.
Listen, if you’re gonna blog a bullet pointed list you can’t expect me to read every damn one of the things.
The “list” is basically a massive dictionary, right? All spelling bees are memorization lists plus knowing roots, etc so that you can guess how a word is spelled if it’s one you haven’t memorized.
Yeah, well tell them to put their “wisdom” on hold until they can spell ‘omphalopsychite’ or they can just fuck off.
I think this is great since I’m ready to bath in HOT TAKES about how 8 way ties just prove how soft this generation is from Olds who think because they were alive when JFK was shot that they have “wisdom”.
What if they had to spell everything by placing 1x1-foot tiles with letters on them onto a board, and the tiles are 50 feet away from the board and they have to run back and forth placing the letters?
From a marketing/business perspective, simply because the number of vegan/vegetarians in this country is much smaller than the total number of meat eaters. A fraction of the number of omnivores is much larger than all of the vegetarians. Of course Impossible and Beyond will be glad to have them as customers too.
no trans fat, no cholesterol, some fiber, some actual vitamins
I became a vegetarian as a child because I didn’t like the taste/texture of meat and I’m worried about these taking over other vegetarian alternatives at restaurants.
Avid meat eater here who is trying to eat less meat. I flat out love the taste of Beyond Burgers. The only thing stopping me from buying them weekly is the cost. It tasted both very “real” to me and just plain good. I’ve had them as substitutes for burgers as well as beef in general - in chili recipes, in kafta…
I became vegetarian because I couldn’t handle the idea of eating dead animals. Doesn’t mean I didn’t like how meat tasted.
These are NOT a healthy alternative to a regular burger. They don’t even market themselves as a health product. In all of their materials, on their packaging, on their websites, etc. these companies position themselves as saving the planet. They highlight how much less energy is needed and waste is created to make one…
Nope. I’ve been veggie for 25+ years, and I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT the audience for this. As are most of my veg/vegan friends. We ate the HELL out of Impossible burgers at a BBQ this weekend.
Because otherwise it’s just another veggie burger. I like veggie burgers. Five Napkin Burger has a fantastic veggie burger. But I know it’s a veggie burger.
I’ve had the Impossible burger and, contrary to reactions from most meat eaters, found it rather disgusting, *especially because* it tasted like meat. Being a lifelong, cultural vegetarian from the Subcontinent explains my reaction. I realize Impossible is trying to market to meat eaters who want to switch to…
I’ve no idea what meat tastes like, but so many reviews focus on just that one aspect.
