Yeah the difficulty gave me anxiety too up to the point where I avoided Stormveil Castle for basically 30 hours because I heard there were super-hard bosses that’d just absolutely shadrach you when you went in. Because of that I was kind of over leveled and actually had a very pleasant time. It was a fun dungeon! I

Yah. I was going to say something to the effect of ‘Good. Now more people can play the boring narrative without the tech issues.’

I think the gameplay suffers because it is an RPG. There is actually a pretty great FPS game in there - but the plain old gun-based “soldier class” style approach is definitely really boring - there’s not enough variety to the weapons or the enemies to make that good. Where it shines is in embracing the wackier

Yes, I’m aware of the $25 price point. It was one of the first things I looked up as soon as I heard about the DLC, but thanks for point it out, I guess.

I think it’s backwards in that the developer should likely want to share the roadmap. They’re trying to entice people into their ecosystem. What are we looking at?

Came here to say the same thing. Picked up DRG on PS4 this month for free. Have not been able to put it down. It is so fun, and gives me those L4D vibes.

I’ve got to be honest, while I might try it, so far the only game to live up to the idea of being a successor for L4D is DRG. Which both has tighter gameplay synergies, and expands thoroughly on the concept. I feel like at this point anything below that just doesn’t live up to the premise.

I’m not black so I can’t speak to the specifics of feeling like a black character in a game strikes the right chord or feels right. (But I understand it’s important, so I’m happy to see games like this pulling it off!)

They’ve already got a medal system that does nothing. They should give you some XP for each of those medals.

Yeah, I thought the Quiet Robe scene showed the right amount of emotion. She doesn’t know this guy, she just met him, and presumably isn’t even entirely sure whether he was really on her side.

Agreed. Article is a poor take and comes off like Ian didn’t really look at all the amazing work in the games animation. Can’t get behind the article either, Samus is you and you are dope in this game. The accomplishments are yours in this Metroid more than ever, aside from the one hit kill nonsense this game is a

I agree with this. Other M tried to give her a personality but they did it all wrong. Like you said in Dread she shows it through body language. I’d also like to think after all shes been through she also knows that she cant linger as Raven Beak and the X parasite need to be dealt with ASAP.

Pfft. Dread did more for her character thru body language alone than Other M did with its piles of garbage dialogue.

I can get behind the bulk of this article, but I’d like to hit the other side of the spectrum and say that Samus’ intro cutscene with Kraid gave me huge personality vibes without a single word said.

After watching that cutscene I get where you’re coming from but I think I disagree. The Samus in this game shows almost all of her emotion through body language. The fact that she lingers, staring at the body shows that she feels something. She’s acknowledging those emotions and internalizing them as well as the info

Outriders was great, I had a fun time with it with friends. And then I beat it and then I moved on to other stuff.

So. Much. Backtracking.

This game should have been right up my alley. I heard Sci-fi/Shooter/Isometric, and that’s all it took. Into the steam cart it goes. After 15 or so hours in, however, I can’t bring myself to keep playing. It’s hard to put my finger on it, but this game feels like work.

If Legion proved anything to me, it’s that the studio that made Watch Dogs 2 needs to be the only studio that makes Watch Dogs.

And the scene where he has to tell Ginny and Allegra while constantly being reminded "No physical contact!" was so heartbreaking.
