I grew up with a alcoholic parent, and at a very young age I remember promising myself I would never drink alcohol. And I never have. I have no judgement on those who do—I just know its not for me.

Um...no. They stole someone else’s art, straight up. Playing the “Aw shucks work sure is difficult!” card is not the right move.

Real talk: do you think Capcom is smart to cater to you and other hardcore players? You say “Well, it’s for players like me...”, but do you think that’s the key to success? Do you think that perhaps Capcom would be better served appealing to the entire player base? They’re not exactly in the best state for franchises…

You and I have very different outlooks on this. I don’t know if it’s true that “people cheat all the time”, but if it is, then that really sucks for 50% of the population. (Unless you’re saying that literally everybody is cheating, which I don’t buy either.) Yes, a lot of people cheat on their significant others, but…

I’ve been cheated on, and had to break off an engagement because of it. I will never, under any circumstance, put up with cheating. Getting cheated on is such a miserable, soul-crushing thing to have happen. It murdered my self esteem for years. I know that may seem pretty dramatic, but it was terrible.

I think the thing is, you never get to decide for another person whether or not they’d “rather know” or “rather not.” I don’t know how I’d react if my partner told me he was cheating — whether I would want to work it out, whether I’d need a break, etc. I might be really unhappy knowing. But he doesn’t get to pick for…

Can you show how Denuvo interfered with PC performance? I wasn’t able to find evidence of that, besides the old claim that SSD quality could be hit. So far as I know, that was actually found to be a problem with the game.

I liked Grantland and am looking forward to seeing what Simmons does with The Ringer. Say what you want about the guy’s own writing, but he hires good writers and lets them write good stuff without over-managing them. That’s something to celebrate.
