I got the feeling that she could be lying/delusional (as a coping mechanism) when they kept bringing up her medication and mental instability. the OA also said something to the effect of "Sometimes I think I made you [homer] up" which cast even more doubt on her story. Overall, I think the show leaned more towards her…
