Your ancestors put on a uniform. Love that. So did mine. They were drafted.

This is such a strange, uniquely American idea. It’s not The Military Anthem. It’s not The Troops Anthem. It’s the National Anthem. It’s for all of the people. It is not profession-specific.

It’s too bad that she won’t stand for the people who have died for her so she has the right to wave a rainbow flag. The most beautiful part of it all is that we also have the freedom to leave.

Why? We have evidence of pervasive discrimination against some of this country’s citizens, people who in theory should have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else, but don’t according to a huge raft of solid statistical evidence.

It’s too bad you hate America and our freedom to protest. Perhaps you would be more comfortable in Russia?

The national anthem is not a military hymn. It might be for you. But that’s not what it’s about for everyone. And the US military hasn’t always been the good guys.

The troops do not own the anthem.

I’m pretty sure the people who died for our freedoms didn’t do it so that this country would become a place where you have to show dogmatic loyalty to symbols as if we lived in a dictatorship, saluting “Dear Leader” and bowing down lest we be marked a traitor. Let’s save that forced patriotic bullshit for North Korea.

What in the world does “I am a foremost civil rights activist” mean?

So you want professional sports players to take flags onto the field and burn them during the anthem?

The first thing civil rights activists don't do is compare atrocities among the oppressed.

“Hey dude, did you hear? Some of Samsung’s flagship phones are literally blowing up. Crazy, huh?”

This is just sad, and so unnecessary. Students always have access to community colleges, which are real institutes of higher learning, and are a wonderful bargain for students. If you’re thinking about signing up at a for-profit, check out your local community college first.

It nothing else comes of this protest, Colin kaepernick will at least have revealed who the dumbasses are.

I wonder if anyone has ever told these guys that the reason for all the bad energy surrounding them has to do with the fact that they are head opposites. For those of you not versed in phrenology, cranial polarity is when someone’s head shape is the inverse of their nemesis head shape.

And more importantly, asking for a particularly high price on eBay isn’t the same thing as actually selling something for that price.
