I’d rather have both personally. I prefer watching TV most of the time from my streaming box (Roku in my case), but I do like having a PC (a Mac Mini in my case) as a solid Plan B in the rare occasions what I want to watch is not available on my Roku.

You can’t just “simply” run binaries compiled for x86 CPUs to the XBone custom CPU. Doesn’t matter if the OS is extremely similar, you still have to port for the hardware and for the specifics of the software environment (an XBone game have to hookup to the XBone specific services).
