You really don’t want to be using something that burns anything in such a small space without a proper vent. Propane heaters/torches and small unventilated spaces don’t mix well.

Most of the indie scene isn’t trying to pass off their indie idea as a full blown company like this guy, If you run a company and you can’t be bothered to register your company you literally have nothing. It is mentioned in the article that the very fact that he couldn’t even be bothered to register his “company”…
Then a great many startups are running afoul of the law... As a business with employees MUST be a legal entity at the bare minimum in order to be legal. The process in many places is quite simple and any “employer” who couldn’t be bothered to do it within a few weeks let alone 2 months should not be trusted.
From personal hiring experience I will say Wife and Kid(s) does not make someone any more mature or responsible.
Did they have a registered business name? Like with the city, state, province, etc? Because even with no web presence the FIRST thing you do when you start a company is register the business in accordance to the laws in your area and that is all searchable public knowledge.
This person is probably thinking about a W-4 which is a withholding document that if you collect a W-2 at the end of the year needs to be filled I think.

If it was a TR6 most likely electrical gremlins, aside from that and having to learn to tune the carbs or fix fuel delivery issues they are pretty easy to work on for a non mechanic.
