To be fair, if you have been following the pricing of systems out there, there is no POSSIBLE way for them to mark the price that low and not lose boatloads of money.

I would assume it's either based on the MSRP or what THEY normally sell it at. MSRP is stupid and quite simply doesn't mean a damn thing other than that the manufacturer wants you to say its worth waaaaaay more than its value, and GS typically sell things at a stupidly high price.
