Some may disagree with me, but I DO feel like it is a complete film, just not a complete story. Miles DOES have a full arc here, and essentially goes from “young outsider” to “his own person and hero” by the end of the film. Now that he has come around he can finish his own story on his own terms.

On one hand this looks well done. But on the other, why a new title if it is just basically a remake of the film. I was sort of hoping for new material.

But that is just it. It was the previous crew that did exactly that and continued to pump money in the crap like that. The new crew of bean counters said “nope, cut anything we don’t believe will bring in a bucket of money.”

Really? Because most of what I have heard from people who have seen it is that the film is pretty bad.

This is a myth. The did not bury stuff in order to get tax write-offs. The new regime killed stuff from the old regime that they thought would flop, and took tax write-offs to minimize their losses. If they thought they had any chance of making money from the releases they would have released them.
