Totally agree, but he DID put them in there in the first place.

This is such a weird thing to have a “race” take about. I really don’t know anyone from any background who is really broken up about this or surprised. The most common take I hear is “Dude had nothing to prove. He should have just stayed retired and enjoyed his life with his family”. But that is about it.

I get what you are saying, and somewhat agree. But then again it is a pretty direct thing to say about someone, and to say it twice. There was plenty of time to take this out in editing, rather than after a bunch of people point out how awful it is later.

This is a poor take on that scene. The song is anti-hero. She is the anti-hero of her own life. Her inner self looking at that scale and telling her she is fat is the sort of false body image LOTS of young women have. Even ones the rest of us would call thin. It was a perfect message that sometimes your inner voices

So my personal opinion, no offense intended, is that Boston’s Union Oyster House is a poor shell of its former self. The food is meh at best. On the other hand, Fraunces Tavern is a place I never miss out on going to when I am in NYC. The food is always great and their bartenders are excellent.

That is absolutely the truth.

Being the geek that I am, I am very versed in the lore of BOTH HotD and LotR. On one side I own and have read the HoME series and Silmarillion, and other side I have read essentially all of the Martin SoIaF related material and side stories/histories. This can apparently be both a plus AND a big minus.

Stop the concert for a moment and tell people not to throw things on stage, sure. But to have a mini-tantrum and ask a fan who had nothing to do with it to hand you something so you can take it from them and get rid of it? End a concert early that people had paid for in good faith? Yeah, I think it is fair that it dese

because no police department has actually been defunded, not in the loony sense that you believe at least. Crime is barely up,

I would argue that, while I like things like Cadbury Eggs (which honestly can probably kill a person with the sheer sweetness content), Halloween candy is primarily focused on delivering very predictable bite sized candies to kids who come home with it by the bucket-full. They don’t want experimentation, they want a

Yeah, I am sure Pecan Pie shows up in so many states because it is one most people have no idea how to make.

So first, it looks like this film is not going to be the massive franchise factor that I think he is hoping for.

However, when you go out of your way to publish your opinion in The Times, you have invited comment and rebuttal.

I am not surprised at all to be honest. I get it. And don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of Charles either. Like I said above, I totally agree there has been plenty of royal shit to dramatize.

Are people on this site SO hateful of the royal family that you would throw shade on Judi Dench for bothering to have her own opinion? (“the Cats actress”, not having respect for Netflix viewers, etc).

I don’t understand the penis in the men’s room complaint. First, you are in the men’s room, due to overcrowding in the women’s room, but the men still have to pee somewhere, just like you did. So them still using the restroom does not seem that egregious.

It’s not that people are “aggressive” about eating meat. People like certain foods. You give them a substitute and some are going to say “why substitute for something I already like” and others will say “your substitute is close, but not really perfect, so why switch when my preference is right there”. SOME people

Agreed. Of course I am not an actor, but still, I despise any time I see and hear myself on film. I got an award once and was asked to come in and have them record a few interview questions (with a number of other people) for the event. Once that went up on the screen I wanted to run screaming from the room.

I mean, it is THAT weird? Of course MOST people I know have TV’s, but I personally do know 3 different families that refuse to have a TV in the house. So it probably happens more often than people might realize.

acting like an asshole at work is a-ok as long as you crash parties and do the dishes…
