Alien: Isolation. It's weird, because I think it captures the spirit of the first movie so well, and the first movie just isn't that scary to me. But hiding in a locker from the alien and she STILL gets you? Or how about when you're trying to sneak by her and then she pauses for a second and then spots you and runs

I was thinking that was less Liv and more Rose McIver not wanting to give the audience the upskirt shot. Damn that hand's fourth wall breaking!

"If she gets both parts, we imagine she’ll find a way to work it out."

Is this the first Arrow review that has actually used the phrase "Oliver and company"? I'm surprised it took three years if it is. Well done on showing restraint for so long, Mr. Wilkins.

Tell that to Homeland.

She's talking about Jennifer Lawrence, right? Well, she just turned 25 last month so she's only got three more years left! Better keep pumping out those David O. Russell movies while you can, JLaw!

As much as a lot of my taste in music has changed since I was a teenager, I really do credit Foo Fighters for opening my eyes/ears to a broader range of music. I know that might be a bit unfathomable for a lot of people to read, especially considering the band generally plays it pretty safe. But The Colour and Shape

I've watched Tropic Thunder quite a few times over the years, and every time I see Matthew McConaughey pop up for the first time in the movie I think "He's only in this because Owen Wilson tried to kill himself around the time when they were making it." A bit morbid, I guess. But yeah, that's when it happened.

I got a Princeton Review notification for this?

So since he has experience in motion capture, I'm assuming he's going to play Kong in this and Kong will be an angry internet blogger?

Well, I haven't been following AVC's reviews or reading anything else online, and I totally missed the whole "Elliot is Mr. Robot" thing. But I've been watching this show in strange increments since it aired and actually let five or six episodes build up in the backlog. And when I did watch it, it was usually in odd

Is that you, Dave Franco?

God bless the A.V. Club, which are probably words that have never been spoken before. As soon as I saw the headline I thought the same thing, and to see it as the very first comment brings my heart joy. Like a sack full of rottweilers.

Can't really agree with you on that one. I thought the RTS stuff was decent. I mean, not if you're a big RTS fan, I guess. Then it's pretty simplistic and basic and missing a lot, I'm sure. But I don't like RTS games, so it was fun for me. I think it was a lot better on Hard Mode, too. Plus I loved the world and the

I really liked his voiceover work in Brutal Legend. At that point I'm sure Double Fine wanted him because of his public persona/Tenacious D/School of Rock-iness anyway, but I can't imagine a more perfect voice for Eddie Riggs. Such a criminally overlooked game, too.

Hmm, that's interesting. I used to think it was their best, but now I'm pretty sure that falls to Diorama. Still, I don't think they could've gotten to Diorama without Neon Ballroom being made, as I think it shares a lot of the same grandiose qualities (Diorama just being far less angsty, obviously).

Uh… the state senator's daughter? Oops, I guess I totally missed that one. I actually thought it was the waitress. I never even remember seeing his daughter before.

You love Silverchair and don't like Neon Ballroom? I'm… sad and confused now.

I didn't even really get into later era Silverchair until 2001, and listening to that song then felt dated. I haven't listened to Neon Ballroom much in the last ten or so years, but I kind of feel like I would look at the song like I would Conan's In the Year 2000, which he didn't even bother to change after the year
