Pete's villainy has always come from arrested development and a lack of self awareness. Notice how later that episode, he gets really confused and hurt at the realization that he did a very bad thing. I'm not saying he's innocent, but I think he's terrifically sympathetic.

No, they didn't happen, but I'm delighted that they seemed plausible

Yeah, I liked the idea of that scene a hell of a lot more than I liked that scene

But I thought both halves of Season 7 were filmed together? That must be a hinky jinky contract if they couldn't get Hamlin to stick around.

*Glen turns away, puts face in hand, completely fails to mimic sadness*

"I'm pretty little lady, Sally. And you are too. Tell me I'm pretty."

I feel like that's a Mad Men staple — the character who is wrong in the moment but has some greater, often thematic truth to tell. Like when Don realizes he needs to get his life together thanks to a prostitute's words, or when that hobo gives Pete the winning lottery number to happiness whilst urinating

Yeah, maybe he was slightly, passively flirty but that's only because he's so used to the Don Draper lifestyle

See, I think it's hopeful. The fact that Don is confronting his aimlessness and need for a future is an important first step. It'd be way more depressing if Don were oblivious to his emptiness

I'm still thinking it.

To be fair, that wasn't a bread-and-butter scene but a super important and thematic Don and Peggy scene. But yes, Moss killed it, as always

Ken Cosgrove is "okay" with something! Or maybe using that word as a conversational tic. Oh, the possibilities!

Thank you, I was thinking "Mathis can't possibly have been around since season 4!"

poor Sally has really hot parents :(

I'm going to be whiny, ineffectual and emasculated if we don't get a Pete episode. Hell's bells!

Yeah, he definitely deserves a mention if fucking Lou can cameo. He was a narratively important character!!!

I don't know if Bruce Greenwood's character is an asshole, exactly. He's weirded out by Joan's kid and doesn't react well, but he's pretty honest and upfront about it. And then he pushes past his hangups to try and give it a shot. I think everything he did in this episode was understandable.

Playing dice with Dickie Bennett!

It's a little thing, but when the cop was driving around Raylan and being a condescending dick, Raylan got this look on his face like "oh, so this is what it's like being in the back seat." Beautiful character development with just one shot.

You should think to yourself, "It's only a movie. I should really relax. I am Groot."
