This album sort of demands close listening. The first playthrough, I was working and just playing it off of my laptops speakers, and it seemed to get really uniform and indistinct in the middle part. Fine, interesting album. But then I put in headphones and really paid attention to it and it blew my mind. This isn't

"That's interesting. That's real interesting."

I would argue that Kendrick indulges in a little overexplaining in this one — by the end of Mortal Man, anyone actually listening should easily get the themes of the album. He explains them in spoken word!

I'm fed up with that world

I wish that the tone of these articles were "I reluctantly enjoyed this" instead of "this is amazing!"

Second tier???

I clicked on the article to see how pretty Olivia Wilde looks in it, and then I scrolled down to the comments to make sure someone had commented about how great she looks.

I find it really watchable. It's a lazy dog, but I like to pet it.

Yeah, increasingly I'm convinced that AMC is not a good network, they're just a network that lucked out getting Mad Men and Breaking Bad and have been fucking up ever since

Ty Walker is such a fantastic villain. I have a hunch that if he were introduced in one of the earlier seasons, the writers would be scrambling over each other to give him a bigger part

You fool! This was supposed to be the first comment!

I thought the amount of time they gave to the secessionist was great. It almost seems like it's going to be the plot of the episode, or even an arc, and then they subvert it with his fake cash. Masterful use of timing and managing expectations there

Well, it's kind of a nebulous feeling, but it's cool when a show goes on a complete hot streak and it gets As a few times in a row. Almost like validation. Same goes for weak eps and Cs. It's obviously silly psychology, but it's apparently strong enough for grades to still exist

I had the exact same viewing schedule with Season 5, and was pretty high on it as I started it, but by the end of the season I understood why people were so disappointed by it. Luckily it's still Justified, and I still got to watch Raylan crack wise and Boyd grin big villainous grins, but it's a pretty obvious step

Seasons 2-4 are just great, fun seasons of television. Then Season 5 is sort of loose and poopy, but Season 6 seems to be completely back to form.

Wynn Duffy turned into an effete Bond villain so gradually that I hardly noticed.

They've got to, haven't they? Their market share can't get all that much bigger. I think most of the people that want Netflix already have Netflix, and 100 Marco Polos won't change that

Well, to be fair, he's murderous and violent. The joke is more how totally unsuited he is for criminal enterprises than "ha ha he's dumb"

"wildly masturbates"

Old Jewish Guy over Otto Mann? That's unpossible!
