You're missing the point of this ad. The selling point they're using for this car is that it lasts a long time - it's shown throughout the length of the ad. But that's just a subtle message as it's mostly a reflection of the more important things in life.

A couple weeks ago on the day they started allowing the phones to be on I thought it also meant you didn't have to turn on airplane mode so I left mine all the way on during takeoff from Boston Logan. Turns out I lost signal at about 5000 feet and never got it back during flight.
