I agree that Jerkass Homer (who had already made several appearances by this point) is absent from this episode.  Homer is a big moron in this episode, but not a Jerkass.

It probably did kill some of the interest in syndication.  The whole series was a joke, see, don't bother watching… probably not the smartest move there.
