Thanks, I didn't know. Bob Weston RIP. Though he was as insiginificant as it gets for someone in the band for two albums of a legendary act.

I think Welch might be the first Mac member of any era to pass away. Pretty good, actually, for a band that started in the 1960s. Especially with the hard times that Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, and Danny Kirwan went through.

Hey Joan,
Hey Joan,
I was going to say that you were confusing O'Connell with Jack Albertson, but of course they were both in that movie for some insane reason. That's about the same as casting both Gavin MacLeod and Alan Oppenheimer.

Men In Tights wasn't even the best Robin Hood parody Brooks ever did (the TV series When Things Were Rotten.)

That 1985-86 season was dire. The cast looks better in post-script that it was in actuality. People complain about recurring characters, but that season shows what happens when they don't have that. Downey and Anthony Michael Hall did nothing all year; Hall wasn't even there half the time because he was doing some…

I am flattered by your generous offer, but with deepest regrets I'm afraid I have to turn down your offer to fuck Pete Campbell.

They only showed him acting briefly in one stage play, no movies. Unless you count the switchblade scene. In his world, if the actors are dumb enough to use actual weapons on stage, he probably deserved success.

Near the close of my Battleship-playing days, I hit on a better strategy. Instead of just spreading around the ships randomly like normal, I crammed them all in the lower right hand corner, figuring that my opponent (my brother) would, all things being equal, choose more squares in the upper left than in the lower…
The show had too many party episodes this season - three with Party in the title, and also a Halloween ep. I was fine with Pool Party, teaming up Erin with Dwight was something new. But the late season Andy & Erin, Nellie, etc. sequence was just so awful. And it also highlighted Andy's role as manager and that…
I had to verify that he was married to someone else from Larroquette. He and Alison LaPlaca's offspring would have created some sort of cancellation black hole that would have swallowed all of TV.
That wasn't Martin, it was Barney Phillips, another character actor with about a million TV credits who looked a lot like Martin. Phillips was probably most famous for briefly being one of Jack Webb's partners on the original Dragnet.
