YOU are, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - some of us already have our AARP Cards!

Yeah, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - when I heard it in the movie itself I was like, "He didn't mangle the line, that's just his accent!" It's barely noticeable unless you like making fun of people with accents….

@Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - that's more of a judgment call, though Gods know I have no affection left for the Medveds!

So there is, @Matthew_Blanchette:disqus .

Ah, @avclub-5f6a9f5130f01738ca241e16bf0b6c61:disqus ! But without those terrible, terrible movies that weren't deteriorating fast enough, where would MST3K get their content…?

@Matthew_Blanchette:disqus - a glaring one that come to mind are the Medveds referring to Faud Ramses in Blood Feast as young, when the actor is clearly middle-aged.

And they did too, at least the ones they found, @heartlikeafridge:disqus !

Oh, Gods, @avclub-e3f5ab7f02122f95b801e13e2c586d6a:disqus ! Don't remind me….

You saw my college film final, @Jasperrictus:disqus !

::doffs cap for a moment of silence to Something Weird's Mike Vraney::

Still, @avclub-0d04659047f95a243e71c97e64ae4812:disqus - like @avclub-e8b880356038be0e01bc4f8bb8a6bc77:disqus said, we'd rather judge for ourselves, along with Erich von Stroheim's eight-hour Director's Cut of Greed.

That's really sad, @avclub-d7fb64ed0ec4132d35ff565f432ad3cf:disqus - you'd think there was some UK version of the AFI preserving British Film History.

I thought it flopped because audiences didn't appreciate the satiric takes on American politics and war, @Bakken_Hood:disqus.

@avclub-e8b880356038be0e01bc4f8bb8a6bc77:disqus - actually Casablanca did pretty well at the time, garnering Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay, and doing more than any picture up to then to make Humphrey Bogart into a viable romantic lead.

@avclub-92c9b96871c64bbb5fc1913d3aec11b5:disqus - yes, but it was a significantly different movie, and instead of Lon Cheney in a dual role, it splits his character between Bela Lugosi and Lionel Barrymore.

Hmmm - that's an interesting take on it, @jrskipskatte:disqus. I'll admit, Amell did seem to do better with David Ramsey and Colin Donnell than he did with anybody else, but I always figured that was two good actors giving him something to play off of, thus making him better…. though now that you mention it, he always

Far as I know they didn't edit them themselves, @angustmcbutterpants:disqus , but they did refuse to take unrated films, as well as films rated X or later NC-17. Any movie that got sold by them had to have at max a MPAA R rating….

I did not realize he's a British actor pretending to be an American.

Ehhh - I'll allow it, @Killsqu8d….

What the Heil! are you all talking about?
