or a connecting rod...

Having taken a rock from the rear tire of a van to the neck while riding, a windshield would have been nice.

This is my forever car... (the green one)
15 year work in progress so far.
More wrenching than driving in the last few years, but it earns its keep clearing snow in the winter. Every so often I kick around the idea of selling it and getting something else to play with. But the everytime I light up that AMC 304 I fall

I still think it says “slut life”

So you can install a sick blowoff valve bro!

Too close to the old Chrysler TC for comfort!

50% chance this guy works at my company. But our stock is down, so maybe not.

“nice car”

to a non car person who is proud of their new boring ass car

It was not, you could option the 5.9 separately on the durango.. I believe the RT got an additional 5hp

Also, Not sure where you found a 10k tow rating. I hope that wasn’t the case, that would be terrifying in a small truck like that.

Looks like allpar lists an 8300 max, which is still impressive, and terrifying. https://www.allpar.com/trucks/dakota-1997.html

I wanted one of these so bad in the early 2000's. Espcialy since they could be had with a v8, stick, and 4wd in a compact (well mid-size) truck.

In 98 my mom got a durango (auto) 4x4 with the 5.9 V8, 3.92 gears, a posi rear and a borla exhaust. Then I really wanted a dakota of similar spec.

I wonder where they got those from...

Just for reference, this car made more hp than any of the trucks GM made at at the time. (and more torque than any of the small blocks). It also offered up to 5k tow rating, which matches the contemporary tahoe/suburban.

Supertech oil filter? Really?

I’m glad I’m not the only one what was skeptical of that claim.

The LS would probably die on 1920's fuel...

I’m going with a barely-CP. It’s a surplus M105A2 or M416 bed away from perfect.

Tinfoil? Diesel engine? Pfffftttt. Amateur.

not to pick nits, but that’s exactly what I’m doing. Trans should be a t45 not a t5.
