Does the engine make that full output in every gear? I believe I had read that the Ford limits torque output in the lower gears.

I think its actually functional for engine air intake, not intercooling though.

for a do-it all: E39 M5 or E90 m3 sedan. A ~400hp v8, 4 doors and a stick shift is the dream.

Yeah, I find 2nd gear on the 5 speed auto, traction control off, and the throttle set to “sport” gets the best combo to make kids crack up laughing. And I’m running snow tires.

Nice. Mine is an amc 304 , sm465, mc2100, tera low gears in the t case, lockers, 8274 winch, front disks from an 83 cj, 69 body, 72 chassis, kelly steel hard top, bunch of other crap. Way over built for what I like to do anymore.
