The platinum grind was a bit much. The game is great but the later stuff becomes repetitive and grindish. 50 hrs to get platinum though 

Valkyries are tough, but there seems to be an order to them that makes it easier as I progress. I waited till I did everything else in game and now then fought them. The last battle is worth it. But resurrection stones help a lot, plus the perk from lighting all the towers - reduce damage from valkeries helps. Realize…

She took me a solid 4 hours to beat on normal. Multiple armor changes and configurations. Most of her air moves can be interrupted and getting doge timing right won this for me. Just be patient and have a resurrection stone always. 

Too simple? I guess that’s why one person is dominating the Hs scene... cause it’s too easy.

I do agree with that. But HBox addressed that issue in a speech. I didn’t like the way he did it but nonetheless... it’s been an uphill battle for smash at every turn. That’s my point

The charity, which was wonderful, was an after effect. But, oddly enough, smash players who (who created their entire community around being told they don’t belong) play to be the best, had their EVO ruined by oversites of the TOs. They had a right to be upset... wouldn’t you be if you run to be the best in the world…

Didn’t similar happen with UMVC3?

Well, I never said smash was a “superior product.” Im simply talking about the passion and love for the game/scene thier community shows.

I don’t agree btw with what hungrybox said... but they have created something. My point is that their community is strong and regardless of the same top players winning over and over again, they still continue to thrive and grow. That’s something the rest of the FGCs can’t say. Right now everyone other fgc is jumped…

I’m just telling you what I see. When I started as a TO years ago. I focused on Street fighter, marvel and other main stream fighting games because that’s what I played. I don’t even play smash. Side note... this years EVO, wasn’t melee chosen over UMvC3? didn’t they have to “buy” that game into the event? Melee is old and yet still more popular than USF4 or UMVC3... thems the facts

Don’t know even know what your referring to. This is what I see. I run locals, and smash get turnouts 10x what the rest of the FGC does. I am part of of multiple FGCs. Oddly enough, that speaks volumes about how good the Smash community is. They will hunt down TVs and constantly repair their pads to play such an old game. Meanwhile the rest of the FGC is complaining about how bad every game is...

The smash community understands community better than other FGCs.

Agreed. I played it more on console over PC. But stopped because lack of seasons. May have to go back now. Wonder if they will fix the cheating in console though.
