I have a 2004 Tacoma with the 2.7 engine. On colder mornings (less than 70 degrees) there is a knocking sound at start up. It goes away after it warms up. One shop said I need a new engine, another place said it’s a common thing with Tacomas, and the last shop said I need to have a valve job. Any idea what this is?
