I enjoy lots of things "pre-PSX". But this graphical style can't even be called 8bit. It's much worse than that. So yes, this particular style will die out.

Sure is. This is exactly like the WW2 FPS trend. Some of these pixelated crap fests are crappier than others. And some are considered better than others. And now the community is over saturated with tons of them. Not to worry. This is one trend that will soon fade away.

It will be interesting to play as Willhelm. Based off of the above, it really doesn't seem like the action will be as intense as it was in Borderlands 2, but I hope to be proven wrong!

I think Dota sucks. I hate TF2. I wish they had gone with the original "realistic" design. The only thing I can appreciate about Valve is the Half-life series and Portal series. Steam too. Everything else they've done is shit. :)

I also think HL1 was amazing. It was the big one that made me a pc gamer. Naturally, I was upset when Valve re-released HL1 using the source engine. Half-life Source was a joke. For a game that single handedly made them a household name, they should have shown a lot more respect to it.

I could see emulation being a worthy investment if I was able to emulate the Xbox 360 Arcade version of some of the games. Like I think the Xbox Arcade version of X-Men the arcade game is far superior to the MAME version you can get. The same goes for the now unavailable version of Double Dragon.
