It's like a quick-time system that has down syndrome. Every other game ever made has a better combat system. Even those games that have no combat whatsoever.

The Source engine was originally designed for Half-life 2 only. Without Half-life and Half-life 2, you would not have TF2 (which is shit. check out the original concept), Portal or Portal 2.
