The workaround is not buying the digital edition? If you buy the digital edition of course your physical games won’t be playable on it.

The rotation really only comes into effect when you first plan out the build. Nodes have to stay connected to stay active. If you rotate it so they become unconnected they become disabled until rotated back. 

The resource is only hard to come by for the first few hours of the game, then it becomes much much easier to come by. Don’t get me wrong, Grim Dawn is good and enjoyable, I just prefer this one. Grim Dawn is probably my second favorite now after this one. I tried PoE for awhile and never could get into it and same with D3.

Once you get a bit farther into the game resetting the skill tree becomes MUCH easier as you start getting 100 essence for extra copies of a skill instead of 10. Im lvl 31 at the moment and have reset 4 times already and still have close to 1000 essence left.

The whole thing about forming lines for quest mobs (while annoying) is one of the reasons I miss old school MMO’s where you actually had communities in servers and could build or break a reputation (some people to the point they had to switch servers if it got bad enough).
