Huge respect to Roddenberry for kicking off Star Trek. But TNG didn’t get really good until they kicked Roddenberry to the curb, so I don’t see his “vision” as necessarily being all that great. And, by all accounts, he didn’t like Wrath of Khan, so his tastes are questionable.

I am fascinated by this as I never really thought about it until your post. You pay US taxes, do you also pay into Social Security? If so, are you eligible to take payments from it at retirement?

As an actual “non-resident alien” (i.e. a Canadian that commutes across the border to work and then crosses again to go home) on a TN Visa, she’s obviously nuts but it’s also funny that she thinks that she can just waltz around the US without normal rules applying to her.
