That assumes that the art only pays for itself, instead of generating revenue for the entire team. Additional content tends to support development, not just the content in and of itself.

The people who make skins are not in any way, shape, or form, the people who fix bugs or improve gameplay. Artists are not designers. Artists are not programmers. Game studios have many people on staff, and many of the jobs are non-overlapping.

These are honestly all pretty great. Orphan Master’s Son is not something I loved, as it is a really generic “immigrant story,” of redemption, but it’s beautifully done.

The game promotes violence, but the developer is saying that it is just a game, and thus it doesn’t promote real-life violence. The tweet promotes violence, but is an in-character comedy bit. They both promote violence, they both claim that the the violence being promoted is not real, and entirely for entertainment

Do people like these? I see them around and they look awful. Not these particular headphones, but the style. They look like hell to workout in, and sit strangely for everyday life. I’ve never had a problem with wireless earbuds tugging loose, but maybe these are better somehow? I’d love to know.

Japanese Whisky, while being made in the same style, is not Scotch. Scotch is made entirely (grown, distilled, etc) in Scotland. Not that it can’t be great, but it’s simply something different. It’s like talking about Kentucky Whiskey and asking where all the Canadian stuff is.

I’m guessing it’s because they have a long, established relationship (which is so, so, so hard to break up), they have a child (and studies show that children with two parents do better), because she still loves him, and he probably has other, more redeeming qualities that didn’t make it into this email. He still

I mean, honestly? Yeah. But also, even if/when that happens, I hope that the person can work on themselves and eventually become a stronger, more complete person.

That first one is very sad. I’m less concerned with the marriage being saved than I am with that dude figuring his friggin’ life out. Individual counseling seems the absolute best, most important thing. He needs to work on himself before dragging his wife into therapy to work with him—because based on the history laid

It’s certainly possible, but it was a very well thought-out fraud, if it were, with the translator making numerous mentions of storyteller over the course of a few months, and event discussing the translation of it. If there is a critical consensus that thinks it was a fraud, I’m unaware of it.

The first real origins of the Arabian Nights stories come from India, and the tales take place in a pretty wide expanse of regions.

Why anyone would buy a 4k tv without HDR is beyond me. I mean, it’s a $400 55" tv, which is something, but unless your last TV broke, the upgrade to 4k is nothing compared to the upgrade to HDR.

You’re probably right, but it seems insane to me. The step dad is a parent and not a parent.

I guess? It seems crazy to me that a parent (even a step-parent) should not be expected to care for a child.

Can someone please explain to me why this married couple are facing different charges? Why the black mother is charged with child neglect causing great harm, and the white father is charged with failure to report suspected child abuse or neglect? WHY ARE THEY NOT CHARGED WITH THE SAME CRIMES?

Most of the REST of the book is a collection of folk tales, compiled in Arabic before then (1706). And like most folklore, there is a very interesting history of many of the tales, with Indian and Persian origins, before the stories were collected and really added-to in Arabic.

Hi, the reason you read about them is because they were added in 1706 by the European translators. Neither of the stories were written in Arabic prior to this. Most of the REST of the book is a collection of folk tales, compiled in Arabic before then.

Yup, and they are both stories inserted by the British translators—they have no precursors in any of the Arabic stories (and the Arabian Nights are a collection of Arabic folktales). They are, essentially, forgeries.

Oh goody, some more exoticism for the sake of itself. It looks pretty, I guess, but this is the same kind of inspiration that is at the heart of Aladdin or Ali Baba.

It’s probably where you’re talking out of your ass. This is not a tools problem at all. Everything worked perfectly fine until the very last DLC, where someone decided to lock ALL of the doors, and then to unlock all of the doors—something that had never occurred to anyone before, and it had the unfortunate effect of
