I took my dog to the vet yesterday and had to make some decisions about what procedures I would be willing to pay for and which ones I would have to either defer or downgrade because of cost. And I felt terrible, because if I could afford it, I would have paid for everything the vet recommended.

I believe that you have to go beyond parental leave and have separate leave for each parent.
