As an alum, I want to be clear. The campus isn’t allowing anything. The state lege is and the campus has fought it all along but as a state school, has run out of options to prevent it. Profs have resigned over it.

there is a word. “Texas.”

So for the second time in a day (and it dovetails in an odd way because I just used it in a story on Anthony Weiner) I am going to declare that there is something wrong with those people in the Texas State Legislature. I can only imagine that their mindset dovetails nicely with the people that I read about in this Wash

I almost didn’t include any truck one because they’re all so similar.

If your double parked car is blocking me in, and makes me miss an important job interview, business meeting, court date, etc. A ticket is of little consolation to me. I say tow your POS “sovereign property”.

the car is the sovereign property of it’s owner and cannot simply be confiscated by the state and held for ransom.

I don’t know, I think if the sign says “NO PARKING AFTER 4:00" because after 4:00 that lane becomes a travel lane in a congested area, yet you left your car there, you’ve earned the tow. Especially in areas that can really benefit from that added lane... like in most major cities.

Double parked or blocking a driveway means it’s trapping other cars, thus interfering with the sovereign property of their owners. A car blocking a lane of travel, that plus blocking the sovereign property of all drivers.

When I grew up (aka got a job with a commute) I bought a Land Rover and went down that rabbit hole (god I loved my 1998 Range Rover 4.6HSE soooo much but seriously it

It begs the question, is okay Top Gear better than no Top Gear at all?

“I am not perfect. Nor are you.”

Why you looking at me? Trust me bro, my shoes are probably worth more than your fucking wages.

I like the exterior of the Allante, always have. Boxy, but smooth. Distinctly Cadillac, but obviously just a bit different. The story of its creation is also a fairly entertaining read. An interesting note stems from the name “Allante.” It doesn’t actually mean anything in any language. It was picked from a huge list
