I think it will be better for him in the long term even if he does mope around being depressed. Obviously that isn't good either, but I think going with the girl will be more terrible for him as the years go by. If he's not even with her, why does he go along with what she's saying?

You should have no problem doing that. I have a number of my games installed on both my laptop and my PC, and there's no reason I know of that would keep you from doing so.

I bought Dawn of War, Winter Assault, and Dark Crusade for about $10 on a sale late last year, didn't even install anything except Dark Crusade (eventually did, but haven't started the others), and still played Dark Crusade for nearly 150 hours. I still have four campaigns up and running.
