To be fair, the story has been re-written to provide at least some sense of closure for this arc. It might not be “THE END” but at least it was written to wrap up the story at that point vs just ending feeling like theres a ton more game to go.

The difference is that they have a contract in place to allow them to do this. They have a bugout clause in place. They got to pay that $10 million penalty, and to walk away without incurring any other charges.

Also, people don;t seem to grasp what the “end” of this pandemic means. The only true end is a widely distributed vaccine (assuming this virus can even be vaccinated against). ANY “re-opening” of the country before that point will simply start it all over again.

Has she looked into travel nursing? My wife has had a few fellow nurses who switch to travel jobs with their tech husbands who can work remote. Many can limit that travel to a relatively close radius depending on the region and make even better money with full benefits. 

ButWhy has a great point. It might be crazy / scary for your wife to do this, but she could probably very easily move to NY or California right now, get on the front lines AND get what she deserves for the work. Hell, if you are remote, you may be able to go with her and support her emotionally and at home. 

Come to California and I can guarantee her a $110k starting salary. HR maybe working from home, but we are gagging for staff, always.
