I don’t get the obsession with the clown shoe. You can get the same stellar drive train for less money in the Z4 M coupe. As an added bonus, it doesn’t look like a clown shoe and the interior isn’t from 1997. The main appeal of the clown shoe is that it’s weird, rare and not an M3... This is all those things and good

My firm opinion, and this is as someone who held a Maine driver’s license for 30+ years and has driven through some of the nastiest crap Mother nature can toss on a road, AWD on a a car or crossover is a complete waste of money (proper trucks are a different story, depending on usage). If the roads are SO bad that

I DD a 3500 pound 425hp rwd sports sedan in PA. I put winter tires on ~5 months out of the year and have determined I want AWD in my next car. Why?

A larger question for me is the hang up on resale values. Buying that AWD or not is a matter of choice. However, why are hung on on what the thing will sell for later?

Is All-Wheel Drive Really Worth the Extra Cost?

I like this idea, but carrying the trunk with the hatch seems like an unnecessary complication, and requires very strong hinges and struts to achieve. May I present my alternative option? I call it the drawerback:

Sorry but you are wrong. The left lane is for passing. Not driving. If you are not actively passing, please travel in the center lanes or right lane. If a vehicle is merging you need to move over because, you guess it, your passing the merging vehicle.

Ohh cRocktober....

Z8 is a killer choice but not with 156k. If it were my money I wouldn’t want the nerves that go with that. Forget the Elise, it’s a PITA to live with on a daily basis... but why not keep in the family and check out an Evora 400? Supercar looks, it’s BRAND SPANKING NEW, and I have yet to see one on the street anywhere.

They don’t see any potential for growth, which is why Tesla is doing so well at convincing investors. It’s still a gamble (stock markets are basically casinos without the smell) but at least it has potential for growth.

This is the only part of the vehicle that I also feel is off, it screams Kia.

Everything is political. Expect to see politics in unexpected places, be ready to ignore it if you’re not in the mood for it.

That’s really more of a flaw in using MPG as a measure of fuel consumption rather than anything else. The metric L/100km is much more useful.

“A difference of 2-4 mpg isn’t that big of a deal for most folks.”

gas rises to $3.00 a gallon.

The thing about using MPG is, the more efficient a vehicle is, the less significant a handful of MPG becomes.

Pretty much this. You can never afford to put all your eggs in one basket, because it takes time to change course once market conditions change.

It’s even a fake Toyota.
