This goes some way to confirming my feeling about S7. Whereas every other series appears to have been based on books, with connective tissue that makes sense of the big scenes, this last batch of episodes felt more like it was based on notes.

I’m not a fantasy reader (Get out of my spaceship aisle you magic bastards!) partially because I think the tech assumption is completely backwards. If there’s some dudes going around hurling fireballs from their hands, you better believe there’s going to be an industrious person sick of getting his ass kicked

People really like to rag on the NC for putting on weight, but it really only gained about 50lbs on the NB, whereas the NB put on close to 200lbs itself from it’s first to last year, even more if you include the MSM.

If you want more colorful commentary on the NC, I’ll let Mr. Regular take it from here.

Too bad we don’t have adequate public transportation in this country so people couldn’t tug on peoples heart strings about taking away someone’s freedom and some bull shit about ageism.

The official ride of penniless meth heads with an inferiority complex and a goatee.

I like this better than the one we ended up with.

“I feel like some of the more common repairs from 30 years ago now require more technical knowledge than your average shade tree mechanic has ever learned or has access to.”
One important thing another reply mentioned: The more common repairs from 30 years ago just aren’t common repairs anymore. It’s totally normal

“Olds the world over may be lamenting the death of the REAL CAR where you did everything yourself because the REAL CAR MEN like to do everything themselves even the manual spark advance, before dying from drinking too much radium.”

Other “millennial” factor that affects car buying: A significant portion of us were given perfectly functional cars at some point in high school or college so there was no need to run out and buy a car for the sake of having any car as soon as we got our first “real job.”

Neutral: I’m a slacker gen-xer who’s always tried to live within my means without getting into too much debt. So I’m living in a smaller city with a decent cost of living in my second, modest home with an affordable mortgage driving an 8 year old paid for car.

Because if you can spend that much, you probably already own most of those.

Everyone in your neighborhood won’t go electric immediately. It will take time. As there are issues, the local utilities will adjust to the requirements and build more local infrastructure to handle it. There will likely be additional rate increases in your monthly bill to cover said costs.

Had the same thought - “is that really the interior in a top spec challenger”?

The 612 replaced the 456, not the 550/575 (they were replaced by the 599). It’s a bit confusing, because it seems like the 550 replaced the 456 (they’re both V12 front-mid-engined GTs), but the 550 actually replaced the Testarossa as Ferrari’s big sports car.

Spark plug engineer, here. I’ll just make a few points.

“Copper” plugs actually have a nickel center electrode. The copper is contained entirely inside the plug where you can’t see it. This copper exists in all the spark plugs worth buying.

Neutral: SUVs to me are just a necessary evil because dumb people think minivans and wagons aren’t ‘cool’ and care more about what other people think of what they are driving than they do about their practical needs.

and here I bought a used Q5 at the absolute worst time for demand (APR just fine).

I’ve seen that same car at dealership near me. Live anywhere on Long Island?

Great looking TTS! As someone mentioned, most banks will treat any car less than 1 year old as a “new car loan”. You could easily get 1.99% on a new car loan or 2.99% on a used car loan from a Credit Union.
