Compared to what the Stanley Cup has gone through, that’s nuthin

But there some companies that specifically do most of their work to inflate a share price. The “company” also wants that share price inflated because the largest individual holders of company stock are the C-suites making decisions for the benefit of the “shareholders”

In some, you may only need one...

“I finally had a manual car”

Tires are too expensive.

I think there are some positive things to be gained from streamlining certain things about our government, though obviously checks and balances will never (or should never) allow for full streamlining.

This is code.

People don’t realize that this is the opposite of how a gov’t is supposed to run. I don’t mean that it shouldn’t be responsible about spending, but it also has to be a lot of things to a lot of people.

An anecdote of why you can’t run government like a business. As told by Jamie Vollmer:

And remind me why the CFPB is being attacked by an entire political party?

Excellent tip....I wonder why the gov’t hasn’t forced the bureaus to give you a one time score for free when they run your report. It’s really crazy that your financial status is in the hands of three privately independent entities with no real oversight.

Dont forget to use annualcreditreport.com for a free credit report from all three bureaus. Its the officialone the government forced the bureaus to provide starting several years ago. Although it wont give you a score, it will show you everything a lender will see. If you can get that cleaned up, it will improve

Firstly, there are regular cab companies in major cities offering the same level of app-based functionality as the rideshares. Secondly, as consumers (and drivers) people have the voice to pressure companies either through legislature or by voting with our wallets, public complaints etc. to push them to strive for

Funny how we may all argue and differ on the idea of the “Best” car, but we all tend to agree on the “Worst.”

I’d say libeling a former president would count.

More like Shee-ron (the “on” part said like the on in don’t, but without the ‘t part)

Fuck ‘Real America’. I grew up there, it continues to exist largely because of massive federal wealth redistribution programs that take tax money from the coastal (and a couple mid-western) states and distributes it to ‘Real America’.

No, the government’s primary duty is to “(F)orm a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”. Providing for the common defense is one of the primary duties, along
