I would agree that most people have no business driving a car. Our poor driver training is what drives accident rates. We could cut fatalities heavily if “normal” drivers gave a shit.

Wife and I help the annual cleanup of our local Creek. It’s amazing how many plastic bags and bits end up there in such a short time. Lately though, it’s the amount of used needles that are truly alarming.

Im with you Doug. People are making the mistake of thinking YouTube is more than it is. They’re great for low budget home made stuff because that’s what it was created for. They are not Netflix.

This is the key to the entire “debate”:

You can nurse any car to a quarter million miles with a steady stream of replacement parts and rebuilt transmissions.

Always amazing how people forget cars almost always need work before resale. When I traded my last car for $10k I was happy because while I knew it’s market value was 13-14 I also knew it had at least $2000 in maintenance due. Because who trades in a car with clean oil, fresh brakes, new tires, and that expensive…
