Reading the comments I see the same story as every other job sector. Ownership and investment class don’t invest in labor so the bottom 90% of the economy had to be cheap on services farther depressing the market by squeezing independent businesses.

Work in finance... I’ve only been working for a bank (systems engineer in the datacenter) 7 years and I’ve got 4 weeks vacation, 1 week paid sick, and 10 paid fed holidays. Having a few days off every month is really good for staying sane.

Yeah with a harness that the belt feeds through rather than one that clips direct into the seat belt receiver gives enough​ play for the dog to stand up in the seat so she can still reach the window enough to poke her face out. But not enough to stand on the sill or leave the seat cushion to bug the driver.

I think I have the same harness. Seemed the safest thing I could find ~5 years ago. Dog doesn’t seem to mind being belted in since she can still reach the window.

Also part of white male privilege is that we’re taught to stand up for ourselves and challenge authority if we are being mistreated because “the worst they can say is no”. I’m with you, for me modern job searching is no where near as time consuming as it was in the 90s. But to play devil’s advocate, the study is specifically looking at the non-college demographic.
