You should open up a Roth IRA. Or at least that’s my opinion then if you still have money after your are contributing the max, then open a traditional IRA
Fund a Roth like F.D.Bryant said and with any money above the max that you can put in a Roth, open a traditional IRA.
Congrats, that is huge! With that kind of timing, you should do fine paying off a mortgage (or saving for one) if you want to add that to your plate.
