What would happen if the Dems won both run-offs in Georgia - am I correct in saying that they would then effectively hold the Senate, with Harris as the tie-breaking vote? Seems like it's vital that those two senate seats turn blue - and maybe, just maybe, the attraction of having a senate which doesn't spend all it's

But is he racist and evil enough for today’s GOP?

And as far as Trump running again in 2024, I highly doubt the RNC will want anything to do with him then.

I’d put 20 bucks down today, and give you whatever odds you want, that Paul Ryan is the GOP candidate in 2024.

I think the Republican party will probably stay with Trump playbook for another cycle. And Trump will continue to hang around and take every paid pundit opportunity possible.

I dunno--Ivanka’s still a shining star to them and if she stays out of jail they may be focusing on her.

I don’t think the GOP base voters will allow a quieter candidate. They’ve gotten a taste of Trump, and they like it. Until the GOP can cut bait with their own base (which would require a fuck-ton of registered Republicans to stay home or vote for one of those Godless socialist liberal commies who secretly want to

He has, yes - but he also still has the loyalty of the Republican base, at least for now. He’s not going to go away willingly, that’s for sure - he won’t voluntarily cede the spotlight to anyone.

You’d think that, it’d be the sane thing to do. But Republicans haven’t done the “sane” thing for decades, now. There will be some Republicans that will come out and say, “hey, look, we need to appeal to non-white people,” and then they’ll run another racist, xenophobic nutcase because that’s what the Republican base w

I am sure they will take a lesson from it to be more quiet about their authoritarianism

They won’t, but they didn’t want him in 2016 either. It will be, to put it mildly, interesting.

The interesting thing (waiting for the final numbers) is that Drumpf did better with registered GOP than he did in 2016. So much for the “Republicans against Trump.”

You’d think so, but every time I think that the country is done with Republican bullshit, or that Republicans will look at the nation and take a good, hard look at themselves and say, “Hey, we need to be less shitty”, they always manage to take the opposite track.
I suspect the fallout will be, “Damn, that coronavirus

:D

what’s this bullshit about trump going to run for president in 2024? hell 2020 is going to be in courts now, it was always going to be in courts when trump lost. stalling trump leaving the white house.

we didnt get our blue wave, do we honestly think he’s going to face state charges; AND prison time? really?

He could wait until the first senate adjournment and simply make mass appointments just like Bush II did.
