I agree. This shit is important. M4A is desperately needed right fucking now. I want someone who fights for it, as the progressive candidates have been doing and I fully support it. And yes, intraparty debate is absolutely necessary. This is why I specifically suggested sanders and warren don’t stop. Because they can

Maybe not against Joe Biden (maybe). But against Drumpf? Do people rilly think it follows that Biden has a better chance against Cheeto than Bernie? The fact that older black voters prefer Biden predicts what in the general?

Possibly, and it definitely gave him more media attention. Although I think it did bring a spotlight on some stuff that a lot of voters and supporters did not really know about. I think it might of helped him in short term and hurt him long term.

They are terrified. Like I said, my dad isn’t far right or anything and was/is ok with Obamacare and all that. But he was fucking terrified of M4A and Bernie in particular (to a lesser extent, Warren). Its really disheartening, because as you say, the data is there, and all over the internet in how it can be paid for.

She did this in 2016, and basically wrote a list of demands to Clinton, threatening that she would end her if Clinton tried to do some republican lite bullshit, which is a baller move.

There would be a transition period, at which point the spending already paid to private insurers, paid by states, etc., would fall under the government, who we would now be “paying” for care.

This is, incidentally, why I liked Warren. I liked her policies but she seemed able/willing to work within the institution itself and understood that she’d need a broader coalition of support.

Damn, I never saw that one, but that sounds real bad.

Yea, I respect that. He says some dumb things sometimes and can be smug/arrogant in doing it. He seems pretty polarizing with most people I know that read the root.

Ahhhh ok. And it’s no big deal. No need to pull out records and shit. I get the dislike.

Ok, I was just curious. I know he made a pretty bad joke about Andrew Yang, and was criticized on it. But he also actually apologized for it well instead of the usual “it’s just a joke” or “you’re taking it out of context”, which doesn’t undo the shitty thing, but is at least a step most don’t take.

I’ve seen with my own two eyes SEVERAL people walk clean up out the public restroom without washing their hands.

what was the Harriot fuckup you mention?

Joe should never have ran. Without Joe, we would be looking at a Elizabeth Warren/Bernie Sanders run off, and it would have been great

I think it does apply. Calling him a full blown narcissist is not true and disingenuous as you state, but i think he absolutely shows some narcissistic tendencies, and to say otherwise is looking at him through rose tinted glasses. I mean, you pretty much have to be at least somewhat narcissistic to be that deep in

Where we are, to me, is quite terrifying. I chose the wrong time to learn to feel again. At least this political climate provides me with the familiar feeling of “where am I? who am I?”

Absolutely agreed here. And much like what Warren did with Clinton in both 2014 and 2016, I think Warren and Sanders should negotiate and give Biden and the DNC a sort of list of demands behind closed doors to get progressive cabinet members and other concessions. Then they can still push through progressive policy,

You are correct. Biden is AT BEST a mediocre jellyfish of a democrat, and at worst, a republican in democrats clothing. Sanders really does have plans and ideas to drastically improve the country that could actually work and be implemented without bankrupting the country as so many claim (like seriously, do any

That’s what I was thinking!

We can! Although, in a separate comment to the article I left here and don’t want to rehash, it is still kinda horrific that this is a victory and not simply the justice system doing what it is supposed to do.
