They’re PUBLIC BATHROOMS FFS.
extensive evidence and research (something like 2500 studies) show that non-human animals have the neuroanatomical, neurochemical, and neurophysiological substrates of conscious states along with the capacity to show intentional behaviors. they experience subjectivity. this has been proven. they show emotions ranging…
It’s more they are keeping the restaurant open and selling an image of being “ethical” while secretly slaughtering and eating animals. Remember, they didn’t volunteer the information that they were doing this. They were outed. I don’t think they would be getting such treatment if they had closed the restaurant,…
omg this argument is tired, buddy. plants don’t have sentience, they don’t have brains. just because they react to their environment doesn’t mean they have a sense of their own mortality. please. do better.
I mean it just seems sort of weird to actively profit off of people who care about these things, and then go eat a bunch of steaks in your backyard.
Ethically I don’t really care one way or the other about meat eating, but I mostly just think this is such a lousy business decision. If you own and run a vegan restaurant, don’t announce on social media you’re raising animals, killing them, and eating them. Chances are your core clientele will not like that...at all.
As a vegetarian, it does rub me wrong, though I can’t imagine caring enough to do anything more than not visit a restaurant.
I refuse to eat at this restaurant because I resent having to perform to their narrative in order to get food. Just serve me a goddamn sandwich, don’t make me have to spout some phony mantra you ripped off from some watered-down Eastern religion coopting self help book you found at Barnes & Noble.
The thing that’s missing from much of the narrative of marijuana legalization is that medicinal marijuana is actually quite specialized into strains that effect certain results. It’s not the anonymous bag of ditchweed that comes to mind when so many people think of “legal marijuana”. The science behind it is…
Awww, Scott, u mad people are calling you on your horseshit? =(
“Did I piss in your cornflakes? I didn’t mean to piss in your cornflakes, so why u mad?”
I thought he devoted a fair amount of time to the Negro Leagues. I also felt Jazz was an accurate portrayal of African Americans’ creation of the art, and the tribulations they encountered. The Central Park Five was very influential in the accused getting a settlement from the city of New York. I haven’t seen the one…
I bet you are endless fun at gatherings.
I wouldn’t mind if Deadspin did a highlight featuring the voice of Vin Scully every single day.
I get you. I really want to like this show.
one thing is for certain: The Walking Dead knows how to deliver an intense episode without anyone dying or fighting.
This. All of this. Last night’s episode was the shittiest shit ever that TWD ever pulled and is a direct affront to its viewers. It's lazy and terrible writing and I'm angry I wasted my time watching this season.
AMC, Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman can fuck right the hell off after that clown show of an ending last night.
