It’s not that the Wrangler isn’t cool. But this is just as cool, or a bit cooler, plus it is brand new and not every college/navy bro has one.

Also, I’ve never thought of a Jeep or Bronco as an SUV. That term really came about with the advent of the Cherokee and Ford Explorer in the 80s and 90s - so slightly more civilized versions of off-roaders, aimed at families that wanted to get onto dirt roads now and then. Yes, those SUVs owe their heritage to…
Please note you said “Compass” in your first Jeep comparo, where the image clearly shows a Grand Cherokee.
I remember my grandpa 20 years ago complaining about how every car was wedge-shaped with a too-high trunk. He would be so pleased with current cars.
It’s within 0.1s of the GT2 RS in 0-60 time, but no mention of 1/4 mile time & trap speed, or other higher acceleration numbers, to say nothing of performance on a track. Slightly misleading to say it’s equal to the GT2 RS based on a single number which is obviously easier to achieve with AWD.
I am totally on board with Mazda’s decision that infotainment should be based around a control knob. In fact it was one of the reasons I just got a CX-5 instead of something else, even if the infotainment is a little slow at times.
Grab their phone and a copy of this off the hood and the identity theft is complete!
1 day later, it’s dropped 17%. A lesson in not investing in single stocks or timing the market.
Exactly what I was going to say.
Although I hadn’t realized that, it’s not a lot better.
That old dash is pretty much just as bad as the Ford Flex (weird tangent, but whatever). Every time it comes up here on Jalopnik as a great people-mover that isn’t a van or SUV, I think “yeah but that interior is a decade past due for a change”
It *almost* boggles my mind that a supermarket chain has an archive of parking lot photos.
The correct answer. I’m patiently waiting for this as well.
Remember when Ford’s motto was “Quality is Job 1"? Yeah, no one else does anymore either.
It’s more just about being able to look down and easily see your speed on the appropriate scale. Even though the other scale is there in small numbers, it takes some getting used to. For an everyday commuter car it could definitely be a minus for a lot of owners. At least that was my impression. I just didn’t want to…
I would normally consider selling the US-bought car in the US, and buying a Canada-market car, if we were talking about something with higher values. Because when it comes time to sell the US car in Canada, you may take a bit of a hit with something from another market. Even the speedometer being in MPH may put some…
They certainly were not!!
I totally agree with you. Over the holidays my BMW E38 developed a misfire. I changed the spark plugs myself, which were very worn, but it didn’t cure the issue. I suspected the distributor caps and/or plug wires, but had spent my afternoon free time on 2 days already (it’s a V12) and threw up my hands and called AAA…
I should clarify - I meant “worst” in the sense of “worst of the current cars if it was still being made (which it should be) because it’s the least up-to-date”.
I’m here just for the entertainment of “endustification” and the use of ∆ in an alphabetized list.
