After a bit of digging, it looks like the Mustang engines are built in one of the Cleveland engine plants, but the Focus RS engines are built in Valencia, Spain. The Valencia plant previously (before 2015) produced 2.3L Ecoboost engines, but not the twin-scroll variant which launched in the Mustang in 2015.

Honestly, it’s the off-center 3rd headlight which sells the design. Only 2 lights, or a centered 3rd light, would not have nearly the same impact. It’s a masterstroke of design.
