Lot of 2000's Volvo love in these comments (C30, V50, XC90 etc.), and for good reason. Although I think the recent (non-XC) V90 is their best design work and is timeless enough that it will still look great in 30 years.

The part that is missing is how much they increased their prices from ‘20 to early ‘22, now they are back tracking and essentially giving a finger to anyone that bought one of these newly discounted cars in the past 2 years or so. Incentives exist in the car world, but they are usually nowhere near this and ramp up…

This is exactly why incumbent car makers are not going to be the winners in the shift to electric vehicles. It’s expensive FOR THEM to develop both electric and gas vehicles. Tesla doesn’t have this problem. Tesla also has the Gigafactory. No other manufacturer has that kind of access to battery production.
