I don't know whether Destiny is a disappointment because it is or I'm being told it is by a growing number of people. It doesn't feel like a disappointment because of how fun it is to play, but the ever-changing currency and upgrade systems, the lack of comprehensible story that you mentioned (there's so many things

"Investment Club Teens are like Future Business Leaders of America Teens: bad. Bad teens."

All of this is why I had no inclination to level up to 30 pre-DLC, why I have no desire to level up to 32 now, and why I will probably never care to hit the cap in future updates. None of it will keep me from playing the game, but I'll find enjoyment in it without hitting the goalposts.

This is one of the more thoughtful, informative pieces I've read on this mumps outbreak. Thank you for this.

If only the hidden pigeons in GTA IV had guns. That would have been awesome.

Exactly how deep is the repository of "Stupid-Looking Goodell Photos"?

Yeah, I think I know what you mean. Four is already about two more than I really want. Pocket Infinity and Plan C are the two I use the most; I haven't swung around to Bad Juju or Last Word yet. If I ever stumble across an Exotic Scout Rifle, I could get some good use out of that; otherwise, I'm good for a while.

I'm open to ideas (but not Call of Duty).

Probably to keep the most powerful weapons in the game the rarest. If everyone has the best weapons, there are no advantages gained by them.

I get all that. I have four exotics right now, one of which is fully upgraded, and while it's pretty neat I can upgrade them all if I have the currency to do it, it does kinda suck that I have to continue to rely on Xur's lottery like I was before. The concept behind Xur's lottery hasn't changed; it's just expanded.

Would it help matters if they made Xur a regular vendor, like the Vanguard/Crucible/faction vendors? Just set him up there as the exotic vendor, seven days a week, with rotating inventories of upgradeable exotics like the others?

20 light points bumps you to level 21, then each new level is 12 more points. The previous max level of 30 was 120 Light; the new cap of 32 is 144 Light.

Three ideas to add to the Vault's longevity.

In fact that is longer than most $60 FPS campaigns.

Unless the person showing the lowest stats in that group of 7 dropped out very early, I don't understand the grouping of 7 names instead of 6.

Seems like it's just what you suggested...a ploy to get more people to purchase the expansion.

I've gotten my fair share of Postmortem medals in Destiny, and that's one of the best I've ever seen.

Sorry...I got whacked by a double-post. Now I feel like I have to come up with something else intelligent to say here...

Well deserved on both fronts...and completely accurate. For all its faults, Destiny has without a doubt the best cooperative online gameplay I've ever experienced.

Oh, I'm totally using that trick to melee Captains next time I'm in the field of Destiny.
