Ah so like a Final Fantasy Overworld. As long as we make sure Random Encounters stay in the 90s, that sounds like a fantastic approach!

All it takes for a studio to be tight lipped on their progress is for them to gaze back at No Man’s Sky.
An Independent studio struggling for funding looks to a publisher to help ease the burden. Sony comes in and makes this tiny studio the face of its Indie Game Dev commitment. Sony surmises that it would be good…
It can be argued that the kickstarter for M#9 was some free market research for Capcom. The publisher was affirmed that there was interest in a product. A competitors product failed to fill that niche. Now Capcom is primed to step in and fill that void. So in a convoluted manner, we might owe this new mega man…
Lets correct some terminology. Not to be petty, but to help educate the general public!
I think you meant 3d Models. Sprite is a word that can only be used to describe 2d images in games. Specifically images that are always front facing. This technique is called Billboarding and though it is was used more…
Lots of discussion on the who Backward compatibility issue here, and I think people are getting lost in the techy woods trying to discuss it.
You ask how remasters are made? Well they usually go through the standard processes that any other kind of port (ps4 to xbox one) development takes. Plus any extra work needed for the project. Like bug fixes from previous version, new and higher resolution textures, and whatever else I won’t pretend to assume since…
This just in on Kotaku... Ign has a new article.
“Readers can expect piercing reporting and commentary with a sharp point of view.”
Bastion was a Shooter? I thought it was an Isometric Action RPG. Bah, but what do I know.
*fixed.
What a difference Lighting makes. You can take a horribly textured, low poly scene and make it look amazing with some sound Lighting principles.
I'm kinda confused here. Since when did game previews center around making such an absolutist judgement of Good or Bad? As long as an objective lens is used when viewing/reporting on the preview, I don't see the problem. Let us know how the gameplay feels, let us know how the art looks, let us know how the audio…
Yeah I'm afraid my comments will never be published. I routinely disagree with a lot of Kotaku's opinions, and usually voice it. In the old, old system, I was routinely threatened with bans from Ashcraft when I called out his trademark negative spins on his articles.
haha. gamer comments always make me chuckle.
Well don't remember that much penis in the game but I really hated the writing. Really forced. Maybe letting a comedy blog write your game isn't a good idea. And knowing tiny Tina was the writers sister made me hate that character. Well really all her lines and her voice acting.
You just got down on the big round town its going down like the big brown.
T-dub please. Thanks

The sad thing is, is that TCG fans will eat this up. Blizzard knows this.
